Cedar Shoals Goes Wire-To-Wire

The Cedar Shoals Jaguars improved to 2-0 on the young basketball season with a 52-39 victory over class 7A Etowah (0-1) at the Jared Cook Tip-Off Classic at North Gwinnett High School.

Cedar Shoals set the tone early with is defense holding Etowah to four points in the first quarter.

Phlandrous Fleming finished with a game-high 17 points in the Jaguars wire-to-wire victory. AJ Jones put in 14 points while Jai’vanni McDavid tallied seven.

Etowah dropped its first game under former Buford head coach Allen Whitehart. Adrian Cohen and Julian Baldwin were held scoreless in the first half. Cohen finsihed with 10 points (all in 3rd quarter) while Baldwin managed four points.

Cedar Shoals will take on Oconee County (0-1) today in its second game of the Andy Landers Classic at North Oconee High School in Bogart, GA.
