The McEachern Lady Indians (18-7) finished off their regular season with a 60-52 victory over Harrison Friday night. The victory locked up the No.1 seed for the Lady Indians when the region 4-6A tournament begins next week at Marietta high school.
Senior Jada Lewis’ 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists led McEachern to its 12th straight win. McEachern’s only loss to a Georgia opponent this season came in the season opener against Southwest Dekalb. The Lady Indians went 3-6 against non-Georgia opponents as four of the six losses were to teams currently ranked nationally in the Top 25- three in the Top 10.
Lewis is averaging a team-high 17.2 points and 5 assists followed by senior Que Morrison (12.1 ppg) and sophomore Chanel Wilson (11.6 ppg). Morrison leads McEachern in rebounding (6.7 rpg) and is second in assists (4.7 apg).
McEachern returns to action Friday in the region 4-5A semifinals.
