The first round of the Georgia high school football playoffs began on Friday, the second round bracket will be completed tonight shy of midnight as the winner of Langston Hughes (5-5) and Tucker (7-3) will fit in the final piece of the puzzle.
Both teams have played solid schedules in the regular season, Tucker took on an OOS (out-of-state) foes Godby (FL) and Blackman (TN). Langston Hughes stacked its non-region schedule with the likes of Mays. Grayson and Creekside, two of which advanced to the second round of the Georgia playoffs in its respective class.
Tucker runs the ball at a clip of upwards of 300 yards a game on the legs of leading rusher Chris Broadwater. Langston Hughes throws it off the arm of Isaiah Green at a clip upwards of 285 yards per game.
