In a contest featuring teams in the GDFL Top 25 Power Rankings, The 23rd ranked Georgia Crush won their third straight game behind the quarterback-wide receiver connection of Marcus Brooks and Lamontray Williams, and a bend but don’t break defense.
Brooks and Williams hooked up on two touchdowns in the second quarter for a 13-0 halftime lead.
Cornelius Williams returned the second half kickoff for a touchdown giving the Crush a 19-0 lead that held the remainder if the contest.
Bryant Harrison and Dakota Tolliver each recorded an interception for a Crush defense that had five takeaways including three fumble recoveries with the Stingrays in the red zone.
The Crush (3-1) will turn their attention to the Gulf Coast division-leading Florida Falcons (5-0) as they travel to Jacksonville for their first regular season meeting of the year next week.
