The Georgia Crush (1-1) earned their first win of the season with a 15-6 road victory over the Florida Stringrays (1-2). Trailing 6-0 in the second quarter, Eric Williams scored on a 3-yard touchdown run to give the Georgia Crush a 7-6 lead that held through halftime.
Antonio Burley recorded a safety in the third quarter to extend the Crush lead to 9-7.
In the fourth quarter the Crush put the game away when Marcus Brooks hooked up with his favorite target Lamontray Williams on a 15-yard touchdown pass for the final margin. It’s the second touchdown from the Brooks-Williams connection this season.
The Crush will host the Georgia Knights (0-3) next week in Macon, GA. The Knights fell 55-2 to the East Alabama Predators Saturday night. The Knights have yet to score offensively this season and have been outscored 82-2 through three games.
