Georgia 6A Football Playoff Second Round Brackets, Notes

The first round is complete in Georgia 6A. Below are the updated brackets and some notes from some of the games.

Lovejoy’s Preston Williams caught four touchdowns of 32, 66, 96 and 47 yards-the game winner as time expired. Marietta’s Tyrell Tomlin had two of Marietta’s three interceptions.

Camden County scored four of their five touchdowns on the ground via Antonio Wimbush, Harrison Poole, Tyler Rauls and Antonio Hamilton. Kalvarez Bessent returned a kickoff for a touchdown as they defeated former Camden COunty assistant coach Byran Love and Westlake. Camden County’s Chris Williams did not play due to an ankle injury.

Archer recorded their first -ver playoff victory in their first ever home playoff game. Gabe Tiller passed for three touchdowns, Dylan Singleton had a receiving and rushing touchdown, Randy Nails scored a rushing touchdown and Conner Redmond caught a touchdown pass for Archer.

Collins Hill’s Tyler Henderson rushed for four touchdowns and passed for another.

Peachtree Ridge’s Jordan Ellis rushed for six touchdowns.

AJ Bush threw a touchdown and rushed for a touchdown and Jordan Noil returned an interception for a touchdown as Norcross shutout Etowah.

North Gwinnett got two touchdown runs from CJ Leggett and Hayden Sphire returned to action throwing a touchdown pass. North Gwinnett has never lost a first round playoff game under head coach Bob Sphire.

Alpharetta’s Austin King tossed three touchdowns.

Langston Hughes trailed 13-0 to Valdosta before scoring 34 unanswered points to win 34-20. Keion Davis had touchdown runs of 82 and 70, Bingo Morton returned a punt for a touchdown and Kenny Moxey had a touchdown passing and rushing.

Brookwood’s Jesse Brown rushed for four touchdowns.

Daniel Mobley had two touchdowns rushing and passing as Colquitt County advanced.

Hillgrove’s Elijah Ironside threw four touchdown passes, three to Justin Denton

Artise Clark, Andrew Heyward, Ryan Sherman and Alizee Chubbs scored rushing touchdown while freshmen quarterback Bailey Hockman, playing in place of regular starter Ty Clemons, had two touchdown passes for McEachern.

Bijan Sirleaf scored two rushing touchdowns and Kelan Fraise had a rushing touchdown for Dacula.
