Detronn Harris confirmed to Total Sports Coverage that he will continue to play football during the calendar year of 2013.
“I’m going to play with the Middle Georgia Wolfpack during their summer league this year (2013),” Harris stated. Other than saying he would attend the Wolfpacks first summer league game on July 6th against the Georgia Falcons but would not play, Harris had no further comment.
The Wolfpack are playing in the National Football Association (NFA) this summer.
Harris, a former NFL player and respected veteran in the minor league ranks, has led two different minor league organizations to championships in the previous four seasons. His latest championship was with the Georgia Bandits as they defeated the Middle Georgia Wolfpack in the NDFL Championship game in June 2013. Harris was named the leagues MVP.
Harris’ previous championship came in the Southern Football League with the Gwinnett/Georgia Jets in 2010 under head coach Oscar Dillard. In 24 games with the Jets from 2010-2012 he is the organizations all-time leading rusher and passer while holding the record for most touchdowns overall with the Jets. The Jets have been active since 2009 and did not field a team in 2013.
Stay tuned for updates.
