American Samoa tops France for 5th; Sweden Defeats Panama For 7th Place

France entered the 5th place game with much to improve on and got the game off to a good start scoring a touchdown off an American Samoa turnover for an early 7-0 lead. American Samoa would wake up and score 21 unanswered points for a 21-7 halftime lead. France countered with a third quart touchdown to take a 21-14 deficit into the final quarter.

With under six minutes left int he 4th American Samoa but together a late drive capped by  touchdown run with 2:38 to play to seal the win and a 5th place finish at this years Under 19 World Championships. American Samoa would prevail 27-14. American Samoa finished the tournament 2-1 (losing only to Team USA) and France finished 1-2 . In the 7th Place Game:

Oscar Nevermann put on quite the show for Team Sweden scoring an IFAF Under 19 World Championship record five touchdowns in Sweden’s 54-20 win over Panama. Nevermann rushed for four touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass while having several solid punt returns on the day. Team Sweden won for the first time in this years tournament and after being shutout in their previous two tournament games scored 54 points to finish in 7th place and a 1-2 record. Panama entered the tournament as the 4-seed but finished 8th scoring their only points of the tournament in the loss and finished 0-3. Game Recap
