USA And Canada Will Meet For Gold Medal In IFAF Under 19 Football World Championship

Team USA and Team Canada will meet for the second consecutive time in the International Federation Of American Football Under 19 World Football Championships. Team USA won the first meeting 41-3 in 2009.

Team Canada defeated Team Japan 33-24 to advance to the gold medal game. Japan had 65 more total yards of offense than Canada however Canada has five interceptions to power them to the win. Japan had an interception returned for a touchdown and intercepted and had three total on the evening. A full recap of this game can be found here by IFAF.

Team USA defeated  Team Austria 70-7 to advance to the Gold Medal game. Team USA broke open a 7-7 game by scoring 28 unanswered points in the second quarter.Tulsa, OK QB Brayden Scott would power the charge. Scott would then throw touchdown passes to Tarean Folston and Rodney Adams while adding a Lorenzo Woodley touchdown run over a 3:14 span to take a 35-7 lead into halftime. Folston and Woodley each had two touchdowns apiece in the game. Team USA would continue to lay it on in the second half to seal the deal scoring 63 unanswered point to advance with the 70-7 win. Team Panama was defeated 51-0 against America Samoa: Game Recap from Todd Bell. Panama’s Balboa Academy sent their first crop of players to the US for a summer football camp at LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA USA. None of the players that attended the camp were on the roster.
