Georgia Jets Grounded For Remainder Of 2012 Season

Georgia Jets Football has shutdown their football team for the remainder of the 2012 season. Jets Head Coach Detronn Harris via text message said that a statement would be released on Saturday July 7th. Georgia Jets ownership could not be reached for comment.

Georgia Jets cancel remaining 2012 schedule

The Georgia Jets have been playing football since 2009 winning two division championships and played in two minor league football  championship games. They won a championship in 2010 as a member in the Southern Football League. In 2011 they won the Sun Belt division in their first season in the Gridiron Developmental Football League, losing in the first round of the playoffs. The Jets currently had a 1-1-1 record through Week 5 of the 2012 GDFL season.
